Remedies for Sinus
Sinusitis is a condition consisting of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, which may or may not be as a result of infection, from bacterial, fungal, viral, allergic or autoimmune issues.

Ways to relieve Sinus
- Drink as much water as you can handle this drains the mucous, prevents congestion and hydrates the body.
- Eat a healthy well balaced diet including a good portion of gree leafy vegetables and fresh fruit.
- If you smoke, STOP!
- Limit or end drinking caffeinated beverages such as coffee, tea or cola, as they cause body dehydration.
- Get in the habit of washing your hands often and keep your hands away from the face.
- Stay away from people who you know that have the cold or flu virus.
- Try using a humidifier for overnight relief.
- Avoid known allergens and pollution.
- Limit your intake of alcohol as this causes the nasal membranes to swell.
- Partake in a steam bath or a sauna to get the sinus passages open.

Honey & Lemon: Drink honey and lemon in hot water to open the sinuses.
Steam Inhalation: Leanover over a a bowl of hot water for a few minutes to loosen mucous and moisten the throat.
Eucalyptus oil: Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to boiling water in a large bowl. Place face a few inches from the bowl and cover with a towel. Inhale steam for 10 minutes or so.
Medicated vapor rubs: Best applied at night to nose and other nasal areas.
Massage: Massage the sinuses by pressing thumbs firmly on both sides of the nose for 15 to 30 seconds, release and repeat.
Herbal tea: Drink some hot herbal tea like peppermint or thyme.
Salt: Useing a nasal inhaler dissolve one tablespoon of salt in two cups of water.
Cayenne pepper: Best taken in capsule form; three per day after each meal for several days should do the trick.
