Remedies for Acne
The skin contains oil glands to keep itself moisturized. When these glands overproduce, the excess oils lead to an excess of sebum, which in turn forms pimples and pustules on the skin’s surface.
Ways to relieve Acne
- Wash your face twice a day with warm water and a mild soap or gentle pH balanced cleanser, then apply a moisturizer for acne prone type skin.
- Drink eight glasses of water a day to flush the toxins from the body.
- Exercise regularly to increase oxygen to the skin which can help to reduce acne.
- Eat a healthy, well balanced diet which includes fresh fruit and vegetables.
- Stop smoking.
- Wear a organic sunscreen in the sunshine.
- Cut back or eliminate your caffeine intake.
- Avoid wearing clothes that may irritate the skin.
- Avoid touching your face and never break pimples as this will only lead to swelling and scarring.
- Shampoo hair regularly and keep it out of your face to prevent dirt and oil from clogging the pores.
- Shower after exercise since the oils and sweat in the skin traps bacteria and dirt.
