As a woodworker high in the "endless mountains" of Pennsylvania the winters can be harsh to say the least. Most of my work takes place in my workshop where I have a wood stove burning most days from late October until early April. My woodworking business keeps me working long hours depending what time of the year it is.

About ten years ago just before I turned 50 I started noticing pain in my fingers that persisted and began to influence my ability to do my job properly. Most woodworkers today use tools such as air guns or nailers to assemble there work that and glue joints. I am from the old school and still use a hammer and nails. My hands are my trades and without full painless use of them I cannot produce a good product.

My wife and I are self employed both in the business so we spend most days together working and listening to the radio whenever the machines weren't operating.
